Andrea Lindstrom has been a resident and activist of the Lower East Side since arriving in New York City six years ago. Prior to joining the staff and participants at LESHRC, Andrea headed the grassroots program at one of the largest national public health agencies; mobilizing people throughout New York State on public health legislation at both the local and national level. She was also one of the first members of the Bluestockings collective on the Lower East Side, where she organized community forums on issues such as gentrification, sex worker advocacy, and tenant's rights.

Andrea provides educational and supportive services to HCV-positive participants. She is also co-facilitator of the Women's Group, HCV Group and Participant Advisory Group.
